Facebook, the largest social media platform today just recently announced their latest feature—Product Ads. This will enable businesses to reach their target audience in the most efficient and fastest way. The Product Ads feature can be customized according to the advertiser’s discretion.

Using the established cues for Facebook’s search engine like specific interests, locations, brands, and agencies, Product Ads will provide both the advertisers and the consumers an immediate channel to search and convey their intentions and purposes.

Facebook presents some of the options advertisers can do such as:

  • Advertisers can automatically reach people who visited their website/app (via Custom Audiences), or reach people based on specific interests, locations, etc.
  • Advertisers can curate ads as they see fit. For instance, they can highlight products that were viewed on their website/mobile app or showcase best-selling products. Or they can create a multi-product ad that highlights the different benefits of a single product.

This new feature is one example of utilizing the social media platform for businesses to reach out and promote their products to a larger audience.
